Purely a left field idea but you computer types could use a free software called Meshroom to make a 3d model of each frame and then overlay the models in CAD to see the differences. All that is needed is a cell phone with a camera and a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card. Enjoy .

I can't imagine you riding with the forks at full extension so I think if you pull the spring and set the length to a normal ride height you will find a much smaller distance.

Whether it is in wear limits is another question.

I have got a couple of engines out of the frame and they just tend to roll forward and look uncouth just laying there. Has anyone got a design for a support that will attach to the case mounting points and keep the engine upright and stable and allow me to look like I know what I am doing ...

Did you try the Kawasaki dealer. I once had a key made by them when I was missing all the keys. The key code was stamped near the seat lock.

Are the plans for the lockup open source? Or does each have their particular design. I found a design on the net for a Suzuki but it would have to be adapted to fit a Turbo. I started on that but the effort fizzled out.

Could be the clutch dampers are no good!

Do a search for after storage start up checks. Failing that do at least what I described below or better still wait for the experts to chime in.

I am not the best guy for this but I would remove the sump and check for black crud(shredded clutch dampers), remove the banjo bolt from the turbo oil ...

Do the 650 cases have the ability to attach a scavenge pump??? And what about that double sump where the turbo drains into?
